New medical equipment for Sta. Ana Hospital's 2nd molecular laboratory arrives
New medical equipment for the second molecular laboratory at Sta. Ana Hospital in Manila has arrived, the city mayor announced Thursday.

In a Facebook post, Manila Mayor Francisco "Isko Moreno" Domagoso said three biosafety cabinets class II, two polymerase chain reaction (PCR) hoods, two biomedical refrigerators for reagents, two freezers, and eight computer sets were received by the hospital.
Domagoso said the second molecular laboratory will be inspected by the Department of Health who will issue a license for it to operate.
The city's first molecular laboratory is also located at Sta. Ana Hospital, one of the city government's six district hospitals.
Patients undergo testing in the said laboratory for the coronavirus disease (COVID-19) using the RT-PCR test, hailed as the "gold standard" of testing by the health department.
Mayor Isko also announced that each of the city’s district hospitals will receive three high flow oxygen system units which will be used to treat COVID-19 patients with severe symptoms who may have acute respiratory failure.
The first three units were earlier installed at the Ospital ng Sampaloc.
The other hospitals that will receive the machines are Gat Andres Bonifacio Memorial Medical Center in Tondo, Justice Jose Abad Santos General Hospital in Binondo, Ospital ng Maynila, Sta. Ana Hospital, and Ospital ng Tondo.
