In a statement, the Bangsamoro government said its “Ayudang Medikal mula sa Bangsamoro Government (AMBAG)” program has released over P425,000 worth of hospital assistance, which covered the 31 admitted victims at Sulu Provincial Hospital.

“All of the 31 admitted patients have already recovered and (have been) discharged by the hospital,” the BARMM said.

The BARMM said the hospitalization assistance was on the top of the cash assistance provided by the Ministry of Interior and Local Government (MILG) and the Ministry of Social Services and Development (MSSD) last August 28.

The AMBAG program is a flagship program of the Office of the Chief Minister’s (OCM) designed to help indigent patients receive medical assistance, and is in partnership with 12 hospitals across Bangsamoro region, it added.

Last August 30, President Duterte took off by helicopter to visit Jolo, Sulu, after two deadly explosions ripped through the town's plaza and business district and left at least 15 people dead and 77 others were injured.

The explosions, believed to have been caused by a bomb placed inside a parked motorcycle, and another explosive device detonated by a “foreign-looking” female suicide bomber rocked two separate places in Jolo, Sulu, the military and the police disclosed.
