Korean actress Oh In-hye, who was found unconscious on Sept. 14 at her home in Incheon City in South Korea, has died. She was 36.
She was found at about 5AM after suffering cardiac arrest at her home in Songdo International City in Yeonsu District, according to the police.
Oh In-hye was given cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR) before being taken to the emergency room of a nearby hospital. Her breathing and pulse returned but she did not regain consciousness and passed away.
Memorial service will be held at Inha University Hospital in Incheon and the funeral ceremony will be held on Sept. 16. Her final resting place is the Incheon Family Park.
Police are investigating if the actress committed suicide, Korean media reported.
Before her death, On In-hye’s last Instagram post was on Sept. 12 wherein she uploaded selfies and wished everyone a great weekend. She also released a skin care tutorial video on her YouTube account on Sept. 12.
Oh In-hye signed an exclusive contract with Redline Entertainment in 2017 but she was reportedly working without an agency after her contract expired.
Born on Jan. 4, 1984, Oh In-hye made her acting debut in the movie “Sin of the Family” in 2011.
The actress caused sensation at the opening ceremony of the 16th Busan International Film Festival in October 2011 when she wore a revealing orange dress. Her film “Red Vacance Black Wedding,” directed by Park Chul-soo, was screened at the festival.
Her other movie credits include “No Breathing” in 2013” and “The Plan” in 2014. She made a special appearance in the drama “Yeonnam-dong 539” in 2018.
