In its order dated September 9, the NTC stated that ABS-CBN has “no valid franchise to continue operating television and radio broadcasting stations nationwide.”
The frequencies and channels assigned to ABS-CBN which have been recalled included five AM radio stations, 18 FM stations, over 40 television stations, and 10 Digital Terrestrial Television Broadcasting stations.
NTC also said that ABS-CBN had “already lost the privilege of installing, operating, and maintaining radio broadcasting stations in the country.”
Aside from frequencies and channels, all of ABS CBN’s provisional authorities and certificates of public convenience were also ordered revoked and/or canceled by the NTC.
All of the broadcasting giant’s pending applications and petitions before the NTC have likewise been dismissed and denied.
