P13-M shabu hidden inside tea bags seized in Makati City

Authorities seized around P13 million worth of shabu hidden inside tea bags during a buy-bust operation in Makati City on Wednesday night. Col. Oscar "Jack" Jacildo, Makati Police chief, identified the suspect as Asrainie Bolao. According to Jacildo, the Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency (PDEA) led the operation conducted in front of a restaurant on Arnaiz Avenue in Barangay Pio del Pilar, Makati at around 6 p.m. Bolao reportedly handed the shabu concealed inside tea bags to PDEA undercover agents she transacted with. After handing the marked money to her, authorities then immediately apprehended her. Jacildo said the shabu retrieved from the suspect were about two kilos. "The operation was led by PDEA, and was coordinated with us," he said.
