Hospital occupancy rate for COVID-19 in Manila down to 50%
Manila Mayor Francisco "Isko Moreno" Domagoso on Monday announced that the occupancy rate of coronavirus disease-2019 (COVID-19) facilities in Manila is now down to 50 percent.Â

Domagoso said this indicates that the city's patients are receiving proper care from their medical and health professionals.
"Nalulugod po tayo sapagkat talagang maraming gumagaling sa Maynila at nabibigyan ng tamang healthcare ng mga doctor and nurses (We are happy because many patients are recovering in Manila and are being given proper healthcare by our doctors and nurses)," he said in his speech during the flag raising ceremony.
"Less than 50 percent na across the board ang occupancy rate sa ating mga pasilidad sa lungsod. Sana manatili 'yon (The occupancy rate at the facilities in the city is now less than 50 percent across the board. I hope it stays that way)," he added.
The Manila mayor thanked the city's frontline health workers and reminded residents to continue practicing safety and health protocols.
Data from the city government showed that Manila has a total of 9,005 cases as of Monday afternoon. Of this number, 880 are active cases, 7,780 have recovered, while 345 have died.Â
