CARMONA, Cavite - The municipal government inaugurated on Saturday (Sept. 5) a 151-bed Mega Isolation Facility at the CarSiGMA (Carmona-Silang-General Mariano Alvarez) Gymnasium in Barangay Lantic.

The facility, constructed in coordination with the Department of Public Works and Highways (DPWH), will be used to isolate coronavirus disease (COVID-19) patients.
Aside from isolation rooms, the facility also has quarters for doctors and medical staff.
The inauguration was led by Mayor Roy Loyola, DPWH Usec Emil Sadain, as well as other representatives from the DPWH, Department of Health, Department of Interior and Local Government, and Office of Civil Defense.
Carmona is one of the areas in Cavite that has been experiencing a rise in COVID-19 cases since June. As of Sept 5, the municipality has recorded 458 coronavirus cases.
