Member of Parliament (MP) Amir Mawallil, who was among the proponents of the resolution, suggested that cash assistance be immediately provided to the affected families.

“Some of those who were affected and those who survived have the problem of how they’re going back to their livelihood, since some of them are selling on the streets when the incident happened,” Mawallil said in a news release by the Bureau of Public Information of the Bangsamoro Government

MP Ziaur-Rahman Alonto Adiong, who was the Speaker of the Day during the session, told Manila Bulletin that the amount of the assistance "will be decided by the committee on finance or to expedite the release will be determined by the Government of the Day led by ICM Murad."

"It could be charged from the contingency funds. But as to the amount, that will be determined by the proper committee or the cabinet/government of the day," he said.

The Bangsamoro Government has also facilitated assistance for the medical expenses of the victims through the Ayudang Medikal Mula sa Bangsamoro Government (AMBAG) Program of the Office of the Chief Minister.
