K-pop girl group ITZY made their successful comeback with the new album “Not Shy” released recently.
According to Hanteo Chart, “Not Shy” sold 144,355 copies in the first week of release or 79,696 copies more than their previous album “It’z Me,” which had 64,659 copies in the same period last March, or an increase of 123.25 percent.
The album sold 57,226 on the first day to rank first on the daily album chart compared to 34,269 copies for “It’z Me.”
Hanteo Chart also ranked “Not Shy” as No. 1 on its weekly physical album chart with 142,007 copies sold from Aug. 17 to 23.
Placing second is Oneus’ “Lived” with 42,546; Dreamcatcher’s “Dystopia: Lose Myself,” 34,848; Treasure’s “The First Step: Chapter One,” 34,687; and SSAK3’s “Beach Again,” 28,330.
Ranking sixth to 10th are ATEEZ’s “Zero: Fever Pt. 1,” 18,641; TOO’s “Running Together,” 8,753; Golden Child’s “Take A Leap,” 6,693; ONF’s “Spin Off,” 3,780; and Rocket Punch’s “Blue Punch,” 3,698.
“Not Shy” also took first place on Gaon Music Chart’s weekly retail album chart with 61,661 copies sold from Aug. 16 to 22.
The music video for “Not Shy” has accumulated 30.12 million views on YouTube as of writing since it was released on Aug. 17.
“Not Shy” is ITZY’s third mini-album after releasing “It’z Me” last March and “It’z Icy” in July last year. ITZY took home the Artist Award at the 2020 Soribada Best K-Music Awards held on Aug. 13 in Seoul.
