Olivarez receives donations from China to fight COVID-19


The Paranaque City government has received donations from the Philippines Hubei Chamber of Commerce, Inc. (PCCI) to help the city in its coronavirus disease (COVID-19) response.

Mayor Edwin Olivarez personally received from PCCI president Rupet Wang donations of COVID-19 rapid test kits, face masks and personal protective equipment (PPEs).

Olivarez, in thanking the PCCI said, “The donations is a big boost to the city government’s effort to defeat the pandemic.”

As of August 24, the City Health Office (CHO) recorded 4,059 confirmed COVD-19 cases with  3,193 recoveries, 112 deaths. 

The barangays with high numbers of active cases are San Antonio with 108, Moonwalk with 88, San Antonio with 80, and BF Homes with 74.

Olivarez appeals to residents to help the city government contain the virus by following the health and safety protocols.
