Moreno urges public to report products labeling Manila as 'Province of China'
Manila Mayor Francisco "Isko Moreno" Domagoso is urging the public to report to the local government any product describing Manila as a “Province of China.”

In a Twitter post, Domagoso said he will not hesitate to order the company’s shutdown, especially if they are operating in his city, should they misrepresent Manila.
"Kapag may nakita pa po kayong 'Manila, Province of China' labels sa mga produkto (If you find any 'Manila, Province of China' label in products), please do not hesitate to report it. Ipasasara ko po ‘yan (I will order their closure). Always check the label," Domagoso said Friday.
This came after the local government learned that a company selling beauty products and based in the city indicated “Manila, Province of China” in its product label.
At least four stalls, including an administration office and warehouses where the beauty products were being repacked were shut down by authorities.
Domagoso warned that even in the midst of the pandemic, he "will not let any invasion of our sovereignty."
"Baka mina-mindset na tayo ng mga yan. Magulat na lang tayo, kung sino-sino na ang nasa bakuran natin. Magulat na lang tayo, iba na ang sagot ng mga bata sa Araling Panlipunan
(Perhaps these people are conditioning our minds. We will be surprised to see one day other people in our backyard and our children will have different answers when they study Social Studies)," he added.
