Before Buwan ng Wikang Pambansa this August ends, The Filipino Channel or TFC will put the spotlight on Cinemalaya 2020, as well as musical “Ang Huling El Bimbo Musical.”
Cinemalaya Independent Film Festival advocates “the development and promotion of the Philippine independent film.” It provides grants to at most 10 full-length feature film producers, recognizes short filmmakers, and supports the growth of practicing and aspiring filmmakers through various masterclasses.
Netizens can watch this year's entries with the All-Access Festival Pass of TFC Online. It will give them access to more than 80 films from the Main Competition Short Films, Exhibition Indie-Nation shorts, Gawad Alternatibo Para sa Pelikula at Video, and Retrospective Full-Length films categories, plus the virtual events and classes of Cinemalaya 2020.
TFC will also offer “Ang Huling El Bimbo Musical” in September.
The musical-and-rock-concert-in-one tells a tragic story that is relevant, insightful, and at times provocative --one that also serves as a tribute to the timelessness discography of Eraserheads.
