Mariah Carey announces new album 'The Rarities'

New works from American singer Mariah Carey are on the way.

Titled "The Rarities," the 15-track album consists of "deep" cuts and features previously unreleased collaboration with Lauryn Hill titled "Save the Day." There will also be a bonus set that has 17 recordings cut live at the Tokyo Dome in the '90s, including hits like "Emotions," "Open Arms," "Forever," and "Fantasy."

"This one is for you, my fans. It's to celebrate us, and to thank you for years of pure love and support. I am so grateful to you," Carey wrote on Twitter.

"The Rarities" album is out Oct. 2.

The album is part of Carey's #MC30 campaign, celebrating the 30th anniversary of her debut album with weekly releases, including digital EPs, remixes, bonus cuts, rare tracks, a cappella renditions, and live performance.
