Pasay City gov't sets guidelines for curfew, alcohol sale under GCQ

Pasay City Mayor Emi Calixto Rubiano has reminded residents and visitors that the curfew hour from 8p.m. to 5a.m. is still in effect under the uniform curfew hour policy adopted by the Metro Manila Council.

The Pasay City government called on city residents and visitors to comply with the strict guidelines for curfew, liquor ban, quarantine and working pass, market day scheme, and health protocols as the National Capital Region was reverted to general community quarantine (GCQ).

Rubiano said that the city is not implementing a liquor ban, but there is a window hour of 8 a.m. to 6 p.m. for the buying and selling of alcohol.

She said the city does not allow the drinking of alcohol and any intoxicating beverages in public, nor can alcohol be served in any
establishment.

“Ifthey wish to drink alcohol, they can only do it inside their house and should only be limited to five family members,” Rubiano said.

She also said that only holders of quarantine and working passes were allowed to leave their homes, otherwise they will be accosted by police, barangay watchmen, or members of the Public Order and Safety Unit (POSU) deployed in the city’s 201 barangays.

Rubiano added that under the market day scheme, quarantine pass holders may only do their marketing on the days set for their barangays.

The mayor also reminded residents to strictly follow the health protocols including the wearing of a face mask and face shield in public.

Rubiano warned city residents that police at checkpoints around the city will monitor the public’s compliance with health protocols.
