'The Perks of Being a Wallflower' on Netflix by September

"The Perks of Being a Wallflower" can be streamed on Netflix starting Sept. 11.

The coming-of-age drama is about high school freshman Charlie, a 15-year-old introvert who struggles with depression and anxiety. He eventually learns to navigate high school with his senior friends Sam and Patrick.

It was based on the 1999 novel by Stephen Chbosky, who also wrote and directed the film.

The cast includes Logan Lerman (Charlie), Emma Watson (Sam), and Patrick (Ezra Miller).

"The Perks of Being a Wallflower" won several awards when it hit the silver screen in 2012.
