Binangonan youth council offers free printing of educational materials in exchange for plastic bottles

The Sangguniang Kabataan (SK) council of Calumpang, Binangonan, Rizal is offering free printing of school materials, documents, and assignments of students and teachers in exchange for plastic bottles.

The youth council said the project aims to help teachers and students as schools and colleges migrate to online format amid the coronavirus disease (COVID-19) threat, while at the same time reducing plastic waste in the area.

For every three 500 milliliter (ml) plastic bottles, one gets free printing for a maximum of 10 pages.

For every three 75 ml/1 liter/1.5 liter plastic bottles, one gets free printing for 11 to 25 pages.

They don't need to pay us for every printout. They only need to donate empty bottles or bottles they no longer use in their house. In exchange, we will print their materials for free. The bottles will be recycled and reused)," the youth council wrote on Facebook.

Printing is only done on weekdays, while the distribution or pick up of printed materials is on weekends.

Documents for printing may be emailed to [email protected], and shall include their name, age, address, and contact number.

This project aims to help every youth who has a heart and love for education, life, and real life knowledge)," the youth council added.
