Some 8,064 public school students comprise the latest batch of recipients to receive P3,000 each in financial assistance from the Pasay City government from the Financial Assistance to Students Program.
The cash aid, to be distributed from Aug. 19 to 25, benefits 1,293 students from Gotamco Elementary School, 1,440 from Andres Bonifacio Elementary School, 410 from Bernabe Elementary School, and 4,291 from Pasay City West High School, along with an unspecified number of students from the Philippine School for the Deaf (PSD).
Mayor Emi Calixto-Rubiano reminded the parents of the student recipients to coordinate with the officials of these schools and their barangay officials for the schedule of the financial assistance distribution and the requirements and procedures.
She also said that the city government is preparing the schedule of distribution of financial aid to the students of other schools, who have not yet received their cash assistance under the city's program.
Students at the following schools have already received their cash aid:
- Apelo Cruz Elementary School with 1,461 student recipients
- P. Villanueva Elementary School -- 1,056 student recipients
- Kalayaan National High Schoo -- 3,444
- Padre Zamora Elementary School -- 2,520
- City University of Pasay (CUP) -- 3,493
- Pasay City North Main Campus -- 1,609
- Epifanio Delos Santos Elementary School -- 967
- Rafael Palma Elementary School -- 837
- Cuneta Elementary School -- 710
- Jose Rizal Elementary School -- 2,160
- Maricaban Elementary School -- 2,440
- Rivera Village Elementary School -- 1,514
- Padre Burgos Elementary School, Juan Sumulong Elementary School, Don Carlos Elementary School, and Pres. Corazon Aquino High School with a combined total of 7,460 student recipients.
