Police donate computer, printer to public school in Baras

A group of police personnel donated computer equipment to the school of an upland village community in Baras, as learners shift to a blended form of learning, including online classes, this coming school year.

The Baras Police Station and the Rizal Officers’ Ladies Club (ROLC) donated a desktop computer set, a multi-purpose printer, and reams of copy paper to San Roque Elementary School, located at Sitio San Roque in Barangay Pinugay.

Baras Municipal Police Station chief of police Capt. Junard Briones told the Manila Bulletin that they tied up for the donation programs with the ROLC, whose members and officials are the wives of Rizal Police Provincial Office officials.

Residents of Barangay San Roque also received food packs from the police personnel as part of the community outreach project of the police station.

Briones said the police station aims to continue to strengthen police-community relations as it has been found effective in reducing crime incidents in their municipality.
