Senior Citizens party-list Representative Francisco Datol Jr has no clear successor yet in the House of Representatives.

In an interview, Comelec Spokesman James Jimenez explained this is because the partylist group has a pending motion before the poll body.
"There is a pending motion for withdrawal by its Nominees 2 to 5. It remains pending as it has yet to be resolved by the commission," he said.
"This means that as far as the Comelec is concerned, there is no clear successor because of their pending withdrawal," Jimenez added.
Among names submitted by Datol's group to the poll body were that of Aurora Mojica-Garcia, Erlinda Ordanes, Rogelio Galman, and Jaime Cruz.
Jimenez said to resolve the issue, the House Speaker should declare a vacancy first.
"The best scenario is for the speaker of the House to declare a vacancy and then formally informs the Comelec of the vacancy," he said.
The poll official said this will then prompt the Comelec to rule on the pending withdrawal.
"It should be the House who should say who will be the successor so the Comelec can come up with a response," Jimenez added.
The House of Representatives announced the death of Datol, Monday.
