On Monday, 79 PRO-7 personnel participated in a “graduation ceremony” at the Cebu City Resource Management and Development Center, a facility that has been used as COVID-19 recovery center for law enforcers infected by the deadly virus.

“Out of the 528 personnel who were infected with COVID-19, 420 have already recovered which means we have around 80 percent recovery rate,” said PRO-7 Director Brig. Gen. Albert Ignatius Ferro.

Ferro said the PRO 7 was still awaiting the test results of 80 other policemen.

Policemen, who recovered from COVID-19, will be donating blood plasma in Tuesday’s “Makatao, Malasakit” Plasma Donors Program at the Regional Training School in Consolacion town, northern Cebu.

Ferro said a total of 100 policemen have been screened and about 20 of them qualified to become plasma donors.

With more and more policemen recovering from COVID-19, the PRO 7 will now have additional personnel for its contact tracing efforts, said Ferro.

Ferro likewise announced that some 1,650 PRO 7 personnel have graduated from the contact tracing online course offered by the Johns Hopkins University.
