The Professional Regulation Commission (PRC) has postponed the scheduled October and November 2020 licensure examinations due to the rising coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19) cases in the country.
In an advisory on Sunday, the PRC said the following licensure examinations are postponed:
October 2020
• Chemical Engineers Licensure Examination (Oct. 2, 3, & 4, 2020)
• Naval Architects and Marine Engineers Licensure Examination (Oct. 6, 7, & 8, 2020)
• Metallurgical Engineers Licensure Examination (Oct. 6, 7, & 8, 2020)
• Certified Public Accountants Licensure Examination (Oct. 10, 11, & 17, 2020)
• Licensure Examination for Optometrists (written) (Oct. 13, 14, & 15, 2020)
• Licensure Examination for Optometrists (practical) (Oct. 18, 19, 20, & 21, 2020)
• Special Certification Examination in Ocular Pharmacology (Oct. 13, 2020)
• Chemists Licensure Examination (Oct. 20 & 21, 2020)
• Chemical Technicians Licensure Examination (Oct. 22, 2020)
• Electronic Engineers Licensure Examination (Oct. 24 & 25, 2020)
• Electronic Technicians Licensure Examination (Oct. 26, 2020)
• Geodetic Engineers Licensure Examination (Oct. 28 & 29, 2020)
• Fisheries Technologists Licensure Examination (Oct. 28 & 29, 2020)
November 2020
• Customs Brokers Licensure Examination (Nov. 4 & 5, 2020)
• Agriculturists Licensure Examination (Nov. 10, 11, & 12, 2020)
According to the PRC, these will be rescheduled in 2021.
The commission advised the examinees to check the PRC official website and social media accounts for important updates.
