ISABELA - A public high school teacher was arrested here during a buy-bust operation on Wednesday for selling illegal drugs.
Agents of the Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency (PDEA) 2 arrested Alfred Ryan Narag, 38, married, and a resident of NIA Compound, Ambatali Ramon, Isabela.
Narag allegedly sold drugs to a PDEA asset who posed as a buyer at around 1:45 p.m. on Wednesday in front of Ramon Public cemetery at P-4, Bugallon Norte Ramon, Isabela.
PDEA 2 and the Ramon Police were able to recover nine sachets of suspected "shabu" from the teacher.
He has been under surveillance for a month. He was caught while selling one sachet of shabu.
Another highly-value target in the government's anti-illegal drugs campaign, identified as Roan Adducul, 36, a barangay treasurer of Brgy. Centro 4, Tuguegarao City and a resident of Brgy Centro 10, Tuguegarao City, Cagayan was also arrested in a buy bust operation.
Criminal charges for violations of Section 5 and 11, Article II of RA 9165 were filed before the Provincial Prosecutor's Office, Tuguegarao City, Cagayan against the suspect.
