Robredo, in a post on her official Facebook page, said her office opened a fifth dorm for free in Novaliches, Quezon City, in cooperation with Angat Buhay partners.

This housing facility is near Commonwealth Hospital, FEU Hospital—Marian Medical Arts Building, and Neopolitan General Hospital.

“Aside from the four dormitories we opened at the start of the lockdown—which are still operational—we add more dormitory for our frontliners in Quezon City,” she said.

“Our dorms are open for health workers, medical practitioners, and other frontliners like security guards, and other volunteers involved in programs related to COVID-19,” Robredo added.

The Office of the Vice President (OVP) had provided 12 dormitories in Metro Manila back in March and April when it was still under the enhanced community quarantine due to COVID-19 pandemic.

In accordance with social distancing measures, the dorm will be operating on a “first come, first-served” basis as space is limited.

Frontliners who are interested to avail of the dorms were advised to apply through

President Duterte has placed again Metro Manila and its adjacent provinces of Cavite, Laguna, Rizal, and Bulacan to MECQ until August 18 following the recent surge in coronavirus cases.

Under MECQ, all public transportation is suspended and travel is restricted to essential work and the procurement of needs.
