4.6-magnitude quake hits Antique


A 4.6-magnitude earthquake struck Antique on Wednesday, the Philippine Institute of Volcanology and Seismology (PHIVOLCS) reported.

The earthquake, which occurred at 8:28 a.m., was tectonic in origin and was traced 44 kilometers northwest of Patnongon, Antique.

The quake had a depth of 34 km, with the following instrumental intensities: Intensity III - Malinao, Aklan; Intensity II - Sebaste and Valderrama, Antique; Intensity I - Malay, Aklan; Jamindan, Capiz

No damage and aftershocks are expected from the tremor.
