Regarding his quick return to the music scene, Kang Daniel said that “personally, it feels like the 5 months have gone by so quickly, but I'm very much looking forward to going back on the stage with the new album,” according to Hanteo.

He described “Magenta” as an “album that contains the mood of a hot summer. I've filled the tracklist with strong concept and 'the beginning and the end of summer' so that you can feel the season passing by in a single album.”

Kang Daniel said “Cyan” evoked “coolness” while through “Magenta,” he “wanted to express conceptual yet powerful feeling.”

He took part in writing the lyrics in five of the six songs in “Magenta” and said that “working with great people, I think | got the honor and opportunity to participate more in producing the album.”

For the album, he collaborated with Simon Dominic, Jamie, Yumdda and Dvwn and said that “it was such an honor” working with them. “They are senior singers that I admired and liked, so it was like a dream to be able to work with them.”

Regarding his plans for the rest of 2020, Kang Daniel said that after wrapping up the promotion of “Magenta,” he will “start preparing the last of the color series.”

He thanked his fans, the DANITYs, for celebrating with him his first anniversary as a solo singer last month. Before debuting as a solo artist last year, Kang Daniel was the center of popular K-pop idol group Wanna One.  “

“I can attempt new things and gain energy to step forward thanks to your loving the music, album, and stage of Kang Daniel the singer. I hope you can spend a happy summer with ‘Magenta.’ Please take good care of me in this promotion and in the future, and I hope you always stay healthy.”
