HMR Auction Services Inc. (HMR Auctions) has set a new record for the largest single day auction in the company’s history, by selling 120 late model trucks at its 2019 Public Truck Auction conducted in Marikina, Metro Manila.

This year, it aims to break this record by holding another public auction on behalf of a major logistics company in September. The auction will include over 350 trucks.
Last year, HMR Auctions was engaged by a premier trucking and logistics company to assist with the rationalization of a portion of their fleet. HMR Auctions determined that the most effective method would be to conduct a live public auction at the client’s facility in Marikina.
HMR Auctions conducted an extensive nationwide marketing campaign to target the correct buyers; and raise awareness for the sale. This included newspaper advertisements, a comprehensive digital marketing program, banners, email and text blast, social media (Facebook, LinkedIn, etc) and even a LED billboard along EDSA.
The response come Viewing Days was strong, with over 500 persons visiting the auction site to inspect the trucks; which ranged from 4-wheeler aluminum van trucks, 6-wheeler refrigerated vans trucks up to 10-wheeler wing vans. All trucks were 2017 models from Hino, Isuzu Mitsubishi, original left-hand drive trucks.
On Friday, November 8, 2019 HMR conducted the live public auction which was attended by over 100 registered bidders. Each truck was presented in parade style and sold by the Auctioneer to the highest bidder. All 120 trucks in the auction were sold, which resulted in a 100% sell through rate. The client was extremely satisfied with the results.
Samuel Powell, the CEO of HMR Auctions said “I am very proud of the entire HMR Auction team, who worked tirelessly, to ensure that the project was a success. Our team has a strong identity and culture which strives to put in our best every day, to pay attention to the small details, and to all do our part. This ensures that we deliver industry best service and outcome to all of our clients.”
