Scattered light to moderate with at times heavy rains will prevail over Northern Luzon, Eastern Visayas, and Mindanao due to the southwest monsoon and trough of a low pressure area (LPA).
According to the Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration (PAGASA), the cyclone-enhanced southwest monsoon or "habagat" may still affect Batanes, Babuyan Islands, Ilocos Norte, Ilocos Sur, La Union, Pangasinan, Abra, Benguet, Ifugao, Kalinga, Mountain Province, and Apayao.
A gale warning remains in effect on Tuesday as moderate to strong winds associated with the "habagat" may affect the condition of some seas in Luzon.
Moderate to rough seas will affect the western and northern seaboards of Ilocos Norte, Ilocos Sur, La Union, Pangasinan, Batanes, and Babuyan Islands.
Fisherfolk and those using small boats should take necessary precautionary measures when setting sail over these seas, PAGASA advised.
Meanwhile, Biliran, Eastern Samar, Leyte, Northern Samar, Samar, and Mindanao may experience rains due to the trough or extension of an LPA that was estimated at 300 kilometers east-southeast of Davao City on Tuesday morning.
PAGASA weather specialist Aldczar Aurelio said the LPA remains less likely to intensify into a tropical depression but will still bring significant rains over Eastern VIsayas and Mindanao.
Palawan, Visayas, and Mindanao will likely be affected by rains caused by the advancing clouds of the LPA in the next few days.
As the LPA progresses, Bicol Region and Southern Luzon will also experience rains from the trough of the weather disturbance by Thursday and Friday, respectively.
Metro Manila and the rest of the country will continue to have clear skies but may experience some isolated rain showers in the afternoon or evening due to localized thunderstorms, Aurelio said.
