PMA entrance examination rescheduled due to COVID-19 pandemic

The entrance examination of the Philippine Military Academy (PMA) has been rescheduled to different dates due to coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19) pandemic.

In a Facebook post on Sunday, the PMA said the entrance exam will take place on different dates from Aug. 26 to Oct. 3 in different testing centers nationwide.

The academy said each testing center will be allocated with four days to administer the examination to the qualified applicants.

It noted that the number of examinees shall not exceed 50 percent of the seating capacity of the exam venues to enforce social and physical distancing.

The PMA said the proctor teams of each testing center will reach out to their respective examinees to inform them on which date within the four day period will be the schedule for them to report to the exam venue.

The academy said a medical certificate, health declaration form in the examinee's locality, valid ID, face mask, personal alcohol or hand sanitizer were added from the list of requirements.

The exam permits may now be downloaded from the online system. The permits for mail applicants will also be emailed, it added.

“Walk-in applicants may only be entertained on the last day of examination period in a testing center, depending on the availability of testing materials and the available seats in the venue based on the 50 percent capacity rule,” the PMA said.
