No new COVID-19 case in Agusan del Norte for 10 days


BUTUAN CITY - For 10 consecutive days, Agusan del Norte province has reported no new case of coronavirus disease (COVID-19), it was reported Saturday.

Since July 21, the total number of COVID-cases in the province has remained unchanged at 51 as many of the patients have also recovered and have been discharged.

Despite this development, provincial officials, led by Agusan del Norte Gov. Dale Corvera, urged Agusanons to continue observing health protocols to prevent the spread of the deadly virus.

Corvera said all the active COVID-19 cases were in isolation facilities in their respective municipalities, and were strictly being monitored by health workers.

He reiterated the need for people to strictly observe all health protocols like wearing a mask, physical distancing, and frequent hand washing, among others.

The province is under modified general community quarantine (MGCQ).
