Fire in Tondo warehouse causes P19 million in damages


A fire that hit a warehouse at Narra corner Bambang in Tondo, Manila Wednesday evening (July 29) caused around P19 million worth of damages.

A report by the Bureau of Fire Protection-National Capital Region (BFP NCR) said Solandra Warehouse is owned by a certain Xu Jing Feng.

The blaze reportedly originated at cluster 2A unit 4 of the warehouse.

It reached first alarm around 10:44 p.m. and escalated into third alarm after less than an hour.

The fire was declared under control at around 2:30 a.m. on Thursday. It was finally put out after 12 hours.

The BFP NCR said the warehouse contained a variety of items such as fabric, flashlights, door knobs, and clip fans, among others. 

No casualties or injuries were reported in the fire.

Fire investigators are still looking into what may have caused the blaze.
