Las Piñas City schools division starts distributing learners' packages to students ahead of school opening
The Las Pinas School Division has begun distributing the learners' packages for the use of public school students under the Department of Education's blended learning mode, which for the first time will be adopted nationwide on the opening of classes on August 24.

Mayor Imelda Aguilar said the distribution by the Las Piñas School Division of learner’s packages to 25 kindergarten and 45 Grade 6 pupils of Golden Acres Elementary School, and 65 Grade 6 students of the Las Piñas East National High School, on July 27 was made in coordination with the city government.
Aguilar said the 43 public schools in the city will each begin distributing learners' packages to determine their preparedness for the school opening.
She added that these 43 public schools will be receiving risograph machines for printing modules for student use, as well as P300 million from the city's special education fund for the printing of students' learning materials.
City Administrator Rey Balagulan said the enrollment level in the city's public schools for the coming school year has reached 94.65 percent or 91,873 students.
Balagulan added that the city government also allotted a budget for teachers' internet connectivity and students' pocket wi-fi to use with their cellular phones and laptops under the blended learning mode.
