'Weathering with You' to premiere on Netflix

The 2019 hit anime film “Weathering with You” premieres July 31 on Netflix.

After the successful premiere of Makoto Shinkai’s highest grossing anime film “Kimi no Nawa (Your Name),” the Japanese director’s newest creation “Tenki no Ko (Weathering with You)” will be released on the streaming platform this Friday.

“‪Alexa, play She Changes the Weather. Get ready to be blown away because Weathering with You is coming to Netflix on July 31!” Netflix announced on Facebook.

The 2019 Japanese hit animated film follows the story of Hodaka Morishima, a highschool boy who ran away from home and lives in Tokyo. He fell in love with a highschool girl named Hina Amano who can manipulate the weather.

The film also features songs composed by Japanese band Radwimps, who also created the soundtrack for “Kimi no Nawa.”

“Weathering with You” has won several awards including the Animation of the Year, Best Animation Film, and Best Music.
