Department of Tourism (DoT) Secretary Berna Romulo-Puyat appeared for the first time in GMA network’s longest running show Eat Bulaga as a guest judge in “Bawal Judgmental” and got to sing one of her favorite songs on national television.
Puyat was the latest government official to appear in the game show, following the guesting of some local chief executives in Metro Manila during the previous weeks.
In her Instagram account, the tourism secretary wrote that being a guest judge was “both eye-opening and fun.”
“But singing my favorite ‘To Love Again’ by good friend Sharon Cuneta, was even more challenging because it reminded me of Dave plus, I don’t sing,” she added.
“They gave me a choice — sing or TikTok,” she said. Dave was Puyat’s late husband, Atty. Dave Puyat, who died of a heart attack in 2010.
“Bawal Judgmental,” is a game show where guest judges are tasked to responsibly identify correct choices among a group of people, revealing just a piece of information about their lives. The players must examine meticulously their choices to make judgments or else the jackpot money of P50,000 will diminish for every wrong answer.
But guests may seek help from their friends to make the right judgments.
During Puyat’s guesting, she was tasked with who among the pool of individuals are the barangay captains, as well as who is the award-winning frontline local head.
She took home P30,000 at the end of the show.
