Provincial police nab 3 most wanted criminals in Iloilo

ILOILO CITY—Three of the most wanted criminals of Iloilo province were nabbed in separate operations this week.

Police Master Sergeant Francisco Lindero Jr., spokesman of the Iloilo Police Provincial Office (IPPO), said that Reymund Sierra was arrested in Ajuy town Thursday, July 23.  The 38-year-old Sierra was wanted in the town of Bingawan for a rape case.

Also arrested in Dumangas town was Ambrosio Treveles Jr. The 38-year-old native of Ajuy town was subject of a warrant of arrest for murder, and for using an unlicensed firearm.

According to Lindero, it took several days of information gathering and surveillance by IPPO”s Provincial Intelligence Unit, led by Major Gervinson Moyo, to nab Treveles with the help of the Dumangas Municipal Police Station.

Recovered from Treveles’ possession were a homemade caliber 20 shotgun,  three pieces of caliber 20 ammunition, and another homemade rifle (boga). Treveles is now at the custody of Dumagas MPS.

Arrested in Miag-ao town was a certain “Tamak”, who was facing a frustrated murder charge.
