Caloocan Medical Center opens again after days of disinfection
The Caloocan City Medical Center - South has been opened to the public again after six days of closure for disinfection.
Mayor Oca Malapitan made the announcement on his Facebook account on Friday afternoon (July 24).
“Bukas nang muli at handa nang magbigay nang ligtas at maayos na serbisyong medikal ang ating Caloocan City Medical Center (The Caloocan City Medical Center is open once again and ready to give safe and quality medical services),” Malapitan wrote in a post.
On July 17, Malapitan ordered the closure of the facility and its emergency room for sanitizing and disinfection.
He also urged patients, especially those infected with COVID-19, to go to other medical facilities for immediate assistance.
Malapitan also said the facility has reached “overflowing capacity” in terms of admitting COVID-19 patients and that some of the facility’s health workers were being discovered positive for COVID-19.
