The Ospital ng Muntinlupa (OsMun) has reached full bed capacity for coronavirus disease (COVID-19) patients and may not be able to accommodate new cases in the meantime, according to Muntinlupa Mayor Jaime Fresnedi.
"Bagamat maaga ang naging paghahanda -- nagdagdag ng manpower at kagamitan, nag-augment ng bed capacity, ginawang prayoridad ang Covid-19 treatment -- naabot na rin po ng ating ospital ang full bed capacity para sa coronavirus patients (Although preparations were made early -- we added manpower and equipment, increased bed capacity, made COVID-19 treatment a priority -- our hospital has already reached full bed capacity for coronavirus patients)" Fresnedi posted on Facebook Friday.
"Sinisikap po ng OsMun hanggang sa abot nang makakaya na makatulong, subalit maaring hindi ma-accommodate sa ngayon ang mga bagong pasyente ng Covid-19 (OsMun is trying its best to help, but we may not be able to accommodate new COVID-19 patients at this time)," he added.
But Fresnedi assured OsMun will continue to accept non-COVID patients.
"Patuloy pa ring operational ang outpatient department (OPD) para sa non-COVID concerns tulad ng check-up at iba pa (Our outpatient department (OPD) remains operational for non-COVID concerns such as check-ups and others)," he noted.
Ospital ng Muntinlupa is the latest Metro Manila health facility to declare full capacity for COVID-19 cases even as government claims hospitals have enough beds for COVID-19 patients.
Chinese General Hospital, St. Luke's Medical Center, Makati Medical Center, The Lady of Lourdes Hospital in Sta. Mesa, National Kidney and Transplant Institute, The Medical City in Pasig, and Philippine General Hospital earlier declared that their COVID-19 wards have reached full capacity.
