"The International Emmy Award is given to recognize the best television programs initially produced and aired outside the United States. And to be alongside these amazing industry partners is quite humbling. PILIPINAS and Kapamilya Represent," she wrote.

The International Academy of Television Arts & Sciences, founded in 1969, is a non-profit, membership organization, based in New York City, comprised of leading entertainment figures across all sectors of the television industry, from over fifty countries.

On their official website, they said they're proud of their "strict judging guidelines," which ensure the integrity of the competition.

"Every year, our judging department carefully selects and approves over 900 independent jurors from around the world for its three rounds of judging," they pointed out.

More than 900 television professionals are selected by the Academy’s Judging Department each year to serve as Jurors for the International Emmy Awards.

According to them, jury panels represent current trends in world television programming as well as a wide range of industry professionals from diverse backgrounds and nationalities.

Jurors should have at least five years of professional experience in television, which may include producing, directing, writing, acquisitions, acting, casting, distribution and editing; and must be fluent in the English language.

The 48th International Emmy Awards will take place on Nov. 23 in New York City.

Categories presented are Arts Programming, Best Performance by an Actress, Best Performance by an Actor, Comedy, Documentary, Drama Series, Non-English Language US Primetime Program, Non-Scripted Entertainment, Short-Form Series, Telenovela, and TV Movie/Mini-Series.
