EXO-SC’s Sehun, Chanyeol sell 300,000 copies of ‘1 Billion Views’ album in 2 days

EXO-SC, a unit of K-pop boy band EXO composed of Sehun and Chanyeol, made their comeback and in just two days, they sold more than 300,000 copies of their new album. 

The duo released their first studio album “1 Billion Views” on July 13 containing nine tracks including the carrier song with the same title. 

According to Korea’s Hanteo Chart, “1 Billion Views” sold 269,001 copies on the first day to debut at No. 1, surpassing the first-week sales of 234,941 copies of their first album “What A Life” released in July last year. 

In addition, the new album sold 33,391 copies on the second day on July 14 to bring the total sales of “1 Billion Views” to 302,392 copies in two days. 

The music video for “1 Billion Views” has garnered 4.14 million views on YouTube as of writing since its upload on July 13. 

Sehun and Chanyeol are popular K-pop idols on social media. On Instagram, Sehun has 20.2 million followers while Chanyeol has 21.6 million, or a total of 41.8 million followers. 

During a live broadcast on Naver V Live to talk about the album, Chanyeol and Sehun discussed doing bungee jumping if they win first place on TV music shows. 

“If we win first place, I’ll go bungee jump,” he said, to which Sehun replied, “I can’t do it seriously.” 

Chanyeol added, “I did it once. I thought I was confident but I never want to do it again” while Sehun said, “I mean, I can’t do it. But I’ll make a video doing it if we win first place. I’ll do it on V Live.” 

“Okay, if we win first place, I’ll film Sehun doing bungee jump on V Live,” said Chanyeol to which Sehun replied, “I’m serious. I can’t imagine but I’m up for it.
