South Korea’s Gaon Music Chart has issued new platinum certifications for album sales and streaming.
Boy band EXO member Baekhyun led the album category as his second mini-album “Delight,” released on May 25 this year, was awarded triple platinum certification for selling 750,000 copies.
Getting platinum certification for selling 250,000 copies of their albums Monsta X’s “Fantasia X,” NCT 127’s “Neo Zone: The Final Round,” IZ*ONE’s “COLOR*IZ” and TXT’s “The Dream Chapter: Eternity.”
Awarded platinum certification for 100 million streams under the streaming category are IU’s “Love Poem,” Zico’s “Any Song,” Girls’ Generation member Taeyeon’s “A Poem Titled You,” Woody’s “Fire Up” and Lim Han-byul’s “The Way to Say Goodbye.” Anne-Marie’s “2002” song from her 2018 “Speak Your Mind” album got double platinum certification.
Meanwhile, Gaon Music Chart also revealed the top-selling albums and songs for the first half of the year.
In the album category, the top 10 best-selling albums for the first half of 2020 are:
