Philippine Institute of Volcanology and Seismology stated that a “Ground rupture” was spotted due to the 6.7-magnitude earthquake that hit Surigao del Norte last Friday.
The wall was found in Poblacion in Sitio Cabugsawon, Poblacion in San Francisco town, according to ABS-CBN News.
Ground ruptures are one of the common hazards of strong earthquakes occurring along faults.
Phivolcs said that the length of ground rupture, as well as the width of the zone of deformation increase with the magnitude of earthquake.
