A total of 4.5 grams of kush with an an estimated street value of P75,000 as with 82 leaves of rolling paper were discovered hidden in a package filled with chocolates and photos at the Port of Clark, the Bureau of Customs said.

The shipment, which arrived in the country on June 25, was declared as “Gifts, Letters and Photos.”
Strict profiling, non-intrusive examination, and K9 sniffing led to the discovery of the illegal drugs contained therein.
A chemical analysis later confirmed the suspected illegal item as kush, a strain of cannabis.
Other items like a used smoking pipe, grinder, a booklet of mini rolling paper tips, and a pack of organic hemp rolling paper were also found inside the parcel.
A certain Princess Reinikka Estebal from Laguna was arrested by agents of the BOC and the Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency on July 3 after she claimed the package.
A warrant of seizure and detention was issued against Estebal for violation of Sections 118 (g), 119 (d) and 1113 (f), (i) & (l) of R.A. No. 10863 or the Customs Modernization and Tariff Act, and R.A. No. 9165 or the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002, the bureau said.
