NPA terrorists attack police station, 4 wounded


ZAMBOANGA CITY – Four policemen were wounded when a group of unidentified gunmen believed to be Communist Party of the Philippines-New People's Army terrorists (CNTs) attacked a municipal police station in Concepcion, Misamis Occidental early Thursday morning.

A police report reaching this city said the armed men attacked and sprayed with automatic gun fire the municipal station police  station of Cencepcion town located in Barangay Putongan in Misamis Occidental  at about 7:50 a.m. on Thursday.

The police report identified the wounded policemen as Police  Cpl.Marvin Intong, SSgt. Larry Millan, Cpl. Leo Gumisad, and Patrolwoman  Ritchel Tañola.

The firefight ensued for almost an hour in the  village of Putongan, sending many residents in the village into panic.
