Military Ordinariate of the Philippines Bishop Oscar Jaime Florencio is inviting the faithful to join the Healing Rosary for the World initiative at 9pm of Wednesday (July 8) to pray as one nation for an end to the coronavirus pandemic.

Florencio, who will lead the healing prayer said it is important to pray as one nation for God’s mercy and healing against COVID-19.
“I am inviting everyone to join the healing rosary. The purpose of this is to pray to the Lord as one nation for an end to the COVId-19 pandemic according to His will,” the bishop said over Church-run Radio Veritas.
“It is important to be united in prayer, for every individual to pray fervently for the Lord’s guidance, protection, and help in facing this crisis,” he added.
The vice chairman of the Health ministry of the Catholic Bishops’ Conference of the Philippines said, he is also praying for the frontliners that include the armed forces and healthcare workers among others.
“We are also praying for our frontliners, the members of the AFP, PNP, coastguard, BJMP, BFP, all our uniformed personnel and especially our medical professionals working in the hospitals,” Florencio said.
Confirmed COVID-19 cases in the country have reached 46, 333 as of yesterday, July 7, with 12, 185 recoveries, and more than a thousand deaths. Almost a thousand PNP personnel and more than 3,000 medical healthcare workers have contracted the viral disease.
