Chinese woman arrested in Makati City for hitting biker, enforcer


A Chinese woman, who went viral on social media for hitting a traffic enforcer and a biker, was collared by policemen in Makati City on Tuesday afternoon (July 7).

Makati Police identified the suspect as Dong Li, 27, currently renting a condominium unit in Barangay Bel-Air, Makati.

Around 5 p.m., policemen arrested Li after they received a complaint from the biker saying that she allegedly assaulted him along Makati Ave. corner Jupiter Barangay Bel-Air.

Jefferson Sosa, the victim, was biking along the area when he saw an altercation between the suspect and a traffic enforcer.

When he came near to them, the victim said Li noticed that he was looking at them. Then, for no apparent reason, she suddenly hit Sosa with her umbrella.

Investigators said Li also punched the victim in the face.

Li is currently held at Makati City Police Station Community Precinct 6 in Barangay Poblacion.Meanwhile, netizens are calling for the deportation of the Chinese woman after they saw the video of the incident posted on social media.
