A 4.8-magnitude earthquake struck Zambales on Wednesday, the Philippine Institute of Volcanology and Seismology (PHIVOLCS) reported.
The earthquake, which occurred at 8:28 a.m., was tectonic in origin and was traced 7 kilometers northwest of Cabangan, Zambales.
The quake had a depth of 55 km, with the following registered intensities: Intensity IV - San Felipe, Zambales; Intensity III -Quezon City; Malabon City
PHIVOLCS said the quake was also felt under the following instrumental Intensities: Intensity III - Olongapo City, Zambales; Intensity I - Quezon City; Marikina City; Malolos City, Bulacan; Gapan City, Nueva Ecija; Guagua, Pampanga
No damage and aftershocks are expected from the tremor.
