DFA: Confirmation emails for passport appointments may be delayed
The Department of Foreign Affairs (DFA) announced on Monday that confirmation emails for passport appointment may be delayed due to an ongoing systems upgrade.
In an advisory, the DFA said applicants who have paid for their passport appointment are advised to wait for 24 hours to receive their application packet.
“If no email was received, applicants are advised to immediately call 8234 – 3488,” the DFA said.
The department said applicants who have not received their application packet in time for their passport appointment must present the original receipt of their payment at the consular office where the appointment was made.
“The DFA appreciates the continued cooperation and understanding of the public as we work on upgrading our systems,” it added.
