The AsiaTown food trip

Don’t just food crawl—run

Biting into crispy fried chicken, savoring a hot bowl of ramen, and capping the meal off with a tall order of milk tea are a few of my favorite things. Now I can do all those in one meal.

Food crawlers are in for a delicious treat as urban developer Megaworld Lifestyle Malls presents an exciting attraction that has fused together diverse food cultures from all over Asia—AsiaTown.

The Taguig-based food destination is currently home to 10 restaurants in an ambient park-like setting, catering to those who work within the area or come to bond and relax with family or friends.

Set within beautifully landscaped grounds, AsiaTown is also poised to hold outdoor performances, weekly attractions from 5 p.m. onward, and feature art installations to delight visitors.

Within the hub is Rong Hua Bak Kut Teh,one of the oldest, most famous restaurants in Singapore, serving its signature blend of pork ribs soup, Bak Kut Teh. With its first flagship store in the country, it offers diners a vast selection of soup specialties like Premium Loin Rib Soup and Pig’s Tail Soup, and dishes such as Stir-Fried Ginger Garlic Chicken and Hometown Fried Chicken.

Another first in the Philippines is Black Sugar, a great addition to Filipinos’ milk tea selections. The brand, which originated from Taiwan, takes pride in serving freshly brewed tea leaves daily, also using high-quality sugar cane in place of artificial fructose sweeteners. On its menu are egg waffles, chicken pie, and Taiwanese braised pork rice, among others.

Banh Mi Kitchen has also opened a branch at AsiaTown, offering different variations of the celebrated baguette sandwich. The new cluster in AsiaTown is also home to Samgyeopmasarap, Madrone, Salu, Kisoya, and coffee partners Starbucks and Malongo.

More food concepts are making their way. Leading the lineup is Chao Tian Mien, a 700-square-meter Chinese food hall featuring China’s regional cuisine, as well as a Viet-Thai concept, food trucks, and street food in the middle of the park.
