Gov't housing project in Muntinlupa to be put under 24-hour curfew after increase in COVID-19 cases
A national government housing project in Bgy. Poblacion, Muntinlupa will be put under 24-hour curfew for 14 days due to an increase in the number of confirmed coronavirus disease (COVID-19) cases in the community.

Bgy. Poblacion Chairman Allen Ampaya signed Barangay Resolution No. 29 imposing the 24-hour curfew from July 4 to 17 in Southville 3 housing project located inside the New Bilibid Prison (NBP) reservation.
As of July 2, Southville 3 has 32 COVID-19 positive cases, the highest in Bgy. Poblacion and among all communities in Muntinlupa. The total is 40.5 percent of the barangay’s 79 COVID-19 cases.
Under the resolution, all Southville 3 residents are barred from going out of their homes except in emergency cases; if they are buying essential goods and medicine provided they have quarantine passes; those working in establishments and industries allowed to operate under general community quarantine; and those Authorized Persons Outside of Residence (APOR).
The resolution also stated that from March 16 to May 31 when Bgy. Poblacion was under enhanced community quarantine, modified enhanced community quarantine, and 24-hour curfew, Southville 3 recorded nine COVID-19 cases, but this ballooned to 27 under general community quarantine, “which is alarming considering the increase occurred in a short fifteen 15 days period.”
