Pitch Perfect 3: Treblemakers will not be in the movie

The 2012 hit Pitch Perfect is returning to the big screen, but the Trebles won’t be there anymore.

The Treblemakers, Jesse, Bumper and Benji, has been known to continually compete against Barden University’s all-female acappella group the Bellas, through the films .

Skylar Astin, who plays the love interest of Becca (Anna Kendrick), shared on Twitter that Pitch Perfect 3 will not include the main all-boy acappella group, Treblemakers.

Astin stated, “Yes. As of now, the Trebles and I won’t be in the third Pitch Perfect movie,” he wrote. “They seem to be taking the story in a different direction.”

The much awaited threequel will still have Anna Kendrick, Rebel Wilson, Hailee Steinfield, Brittany Snow, and Anna Camp. With it’s new addition Ruby Rose.

Directed by Step Up All In's Trish Sie, with returning screenwriter Kay Cannon and producer-costar Elizabeth Banks, the film's additional details has not been released.

Pitch Perfect 3 is set to release to theaters on Dec. 22, 2017.
