'Goyo: Ang Batang Heneral,' set to hit PH theaters on September 5

After the film Heneral Luna took Philippine Cinema in the past two years, TBA productions released the date and full trailer of its most awaited sequel “Goyo: Ang Batang Heneral”. (Goyo: Ang Batang Heneral Twitter account/ Manila Bulletin) (Goyo: Ang Batang Heneral Twitter account/ Manila Bulletin) “Goyo” depicts the story of Gregorio del Pilar, the youngest general in the Philippine-American war. He was a loyal protege of Emilio Aguinaldo. The 40-seconds long trailer revealed actor Paulo Avelino as the general in the end. Familiar faces such as Epy Quizon, Nonie Buencamino, and Ketchup Eusebio are also returning in the film. Stars such as Jason Abalos, Bret Jackson, and Empress Schuck are also set to join the cast. "Goyo: Ang Batang Heneral" is expected to hit theaters in September 5 2018. The film is directed by Jerrold Tarog and produced by Fernando Ortigas and E.A. Rocha.
